EP review: Call It Off – Liars

Untitled1Pop punk quartet from Eindhoven in The Netherlands, Call It Off, have just released their new EP ‘Liars’ last week as a follow up to their last EP ‘Lovers’.

‘Liars’ is following in the footsteps of ‘Lovers’, yet this EP shows more depth and is overall an extremely “fun” EP.

Let’s start off with Famous Last Words, from its beginning note to its last you can’t help but bop your head to the music or move your feet to the beat. Reminiscent of Blink-182, I can’t help but love this song; it gets stuck in your head and next thing you know, you find yourself singing along. Same thing goes for Call Me : it has this Blink-182 vibe, yet the Call It Off boys seem to have no difficulty in giving it their own spin and once again, within a minute you’ll be singing along.

If you take a listen to Stuck With You and I Don’t Wanna maybe you’ll be reminded of Green Day in their American Idiot period. Stuck With You has a timeless guitar intro and catchy lyrics, and while listening to I Don’t Wanna you may or may not get the sudden urge to dance around.

In its entirety, this EP is perfect if you’re going on a little road trip in the middle of the summer and you need some music to jam out to in the car. All the songs are fun, catchy and bound to make you dance at one point. With summer coming up, what more could you want?

You can check out their video for Stuck With You down below and make sure to check out the boys on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Tumblr and of course their website!
