In a few days, While She Sleeps will be kicking off their biggest headline tour in Europe with support from Every Time I Die and Vein. Having two powerhouses of the hardcore scene together on the same bill is sensational but the addition of Vein to the line up is the icing on the cake. We’ve been eyeing them for a couple years and it’s finally happening. If you’ve never heard of Vein before, then it’s high time you started paying attention.
Hailing from Boston, MA, Vein is a hardcore punk band whose roots rage somewhere between Nu Metal and chaotic heavy stuff. Released in 2018, through Closed Casket Activities (home of Incendiary, Portrayal Of Guilt or King Nine), the band’s debut album, ‘Errorzone’, was the most pleasant surprises, as well as one of our highlights of that year. Blending genres is often difficult and the outcome can be either a success or questionable. However, Vein was able to capture the essence of each of the sounds they draw in and put it into a cohesive piece. From Virus://Vibrance to Quitting Infinity, the five musicians have found their brand, which will send you out of your comfort zone for sure, before making you lose your shit in no time.
Outside of a few shows in the UK last year, it will mostly be the very first time Vein play in Europe and especially the mainland, starting in Paris, on January 16th, 2020. We strongly advise you to get down early and catch Vein on stage. The band is undoubtably becoming a force to be reckoned with in the heavy landscape. It’s gonna be short and intense. – M.H
