Great Stuff You Missed – May 11th round up


It’s not easy to keep track with music news especially when you make yourself a busy bunny, so we check it all out weekly and make a selective list of the new stuff that you could most likely be into.

1. We Never Learned To Live – Shadows In Hibernation

We Never Learned To Live have a new song and video out for Shadows in Hibernation. The song is the first single taken from ‘Silently, I Threw Them Skyward’, set to be released on June 22nd, 2015, via Holy Roar.


2. Destine – Down And Out 

The Dutch are back with a brand new album called ‘Forevermore’ and here’s another single out of it. It holds these joyful melodies which might be just what you need to get ready for the summer. Check it out!


3. Rolo Tomassi – Opalescent

Rolo Tomassi never go in for half-measures and here’s another evidence. Opalescent is taken from the band’s forthcoming album ‘Grievances’, out on June 1st via Holy Roar Records.


4. Being As An Ocean – Little Richie

Currently on tour with Stick To Your Guns, Being As An Ocean have announced the release of their 4th self-titled studio album, scheduled for June 30th, through In Vogue Records. Little Richie is the first single out of it.


5. Trash Boat – Perspective (Acoustic session)

Freshly signed to Hopeless Records, Trash Boat are getting ready to release  their brand new EP ‘Brainwork’. In the meantime, they’ve released this acoustic video for the song Perspective and it’s lovely! In their own words : “look at those fairy lights, you just know it’s gunna be too emotional to handle. The feels are real.”


6. Blood Youth – Failure

Blood Youth (ex-Climates, if you’ve been living under a rock) are releasing a new EP ‘Inside My Head’ this summer through Rude Records and have shared this track as a foretaste of what’s yet to come.


7. TesseracT – Nocturne

TesseracT are releasing a live album ‘Odyssey/Scala’ on May 18th, and here’s a preview with the official live video for Nocturne.


8. Miley Cyrus, Joan Jett and Laura Jane Grace perform Androgynous

Miley Cyrus has founded The Happy Hippie Foundation, which is a nonprofit organization aiming to fight injustice facing “homeless youth, LGBT youth, and other vulnerable populations.” Happy Hippie has launched recently the backyard sessions, where Cyrus invites other fellow musicians, supportive of the causes the foundation stands for. Laura Jane Grace (Against Me!) and Joan Jett are the first guests featured on the backyard sessions. You can also have a look at Laura Jane Grace performing True Trans Rebel, as part of the sessions.


9. Metz – The Swimmer

Check out this brand new song, taken from the punk trio’s recent album ‘II’. Great stuff!


9. Enter Shikari – Torn Apart

Shortly after posting an acoustic performance of this song, Enter Shikari just shared the music video for Torn Apart, off their recent album ‘The Mindsweep’. It’s genius, as usual.


10. In Archives – ‘The Worst Part Of Life’ full album stream

The wait is now over. In Archives have finally released ‘The Worst Part Of Life’ and it was well worth the wait. You can stream it in full just HERE. Yay? Yay! Get familiar with the record and go catch In Archives live at one of their european shows starting this week!
